 This weekend John Tracy and I headed up from Montgomery to hike on the Pinhoti from Porter's Gap to Adam's Gap. Good lord it was hot. We had a nice breeze for most of the hike, but it only helped a little. The only good water we found was at the campsite 5.2 miles north of Porter's Gap and then at Double Springs campsite. There were a couple of little trickling streams within a mile north and south of Double Springs campsite, but these will most likely dry up soon.
