Pinhoti/ No Blazes/ 1/4 mile section has been clear cut

Be careful when heading north on on the last Alabama section after Salem Church Road. I happened to hike through there on 3/7/10 while a timber company was clear cutting about 1/4-1/2 mile of the trail. I mazed my way through the carnage for at least thirty minutes looking blazes on downed trees. I finally found a sign on the old road bed to left side of the clear cut section. As soon as you cross Salem Church Road look for an old road bed on the left side heading directly into the woods, the trail follows the roadbed for 100' or so, then turns into the woods.
