Channel Islands trip planning

Well it's 12 days out, and we've still not gotten the required ferry tix to go out to Santa Cruz Island on the 23rd. The NPS requires you to get your ferry tckets 1st before you book a campsite. But on payday next week I hope we can get both reserved. Our plan at the moment is to Go out on the ferry on the morning of the 23rd, hike around the island and camp at the Scorpion Ranch CG then return to the mainland the following afternoon.

Cost for the ferry from Ventura to Santa Cruz Island is $62pp (http://www.islandpackers.com/isltrips.html_). The campsite is $15/nt (recreation.gov).
