Hey everyone, I hope everyone has had a good week. I know I have been crazy busy working out some details for some of the next AlaTrails projects on the books. We are putting together some contests soon so be sure and join up and get on the forum as soon as possible. I will be announcing the contests and the rules at the beginning of next week.

That's right now you can support AlaTrails by buying a really cool and very high quality shirt. Proceeds will go to our server fees and further development on AlaTrails. We've got a few really neat designs already up and new ones will be published on an ongoing basis.

Word on the forum is that right now is the time to get down to Splinter hill Bog down in the Mobile area to see an absolutely astonishing array of flora around there. One of our forums members took a camera down there and came back with what looks like the biggest stand of pitchers plants I have ever seen in my life.

All of the Mountain bikers around the region seem to be gearing up for the annual Birmingham Urban Mountain Peddlers (BUMP) Bump n Grind race this Sunday. This looks to be a spectators race through and through. According to the website some 600 people will be riding in this one so it should be a great time for everybody.

And if that was not enough, our resident gear deal finder has been checking out specials on winter gear. So get your credit cards out  and spank em a bit. I doubt severely you will find 30 degree down bags for 69 bucks come October.
