Leaving for AT section today (Devils Fork Gap to Hot Springs).

Well I taking off today for a section hike from Devils Fork Gap to Hot Springs NC w/ some work friends. We'll leave from work early and drive to Newport, TN (just NE of GSMNP)  and spend to night there. Friday morning we meet a shuttle @ Bluff Mtn Outfitters that will drop us off at Devil's Fork Gap and we'll spend the next 3 days traversing the 30 miles back to town. The weather is promising rain for tomorrow and Saturday. I'm all packed now (25.2 lbs (no water) for those who've been keeping track) and itching to get out the door now. I'm so excited as its my first real trip on the AT.
