Smokies BPing trip firming up.

Well, we've gotten childcare squared away for Tuesday-Thursday. And We've decided to try the Bigcreek-Walnut Bottoms-Mt. Sterling Loop from the Big Creek Ranger Station. The Mt. Sterling campsite is widely known as one of the most beautiful in the park, hopefully it won't be the coldest. DW is really nervous about the cold. the forecast is for 50s-30s with some possible rain (snow at elevation I'm sure).
Left to do:
reserve campsites
pack gear
get food (3 lunches, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners)
get backcountry permits (when we arrive at TH).
Also sometime that week we're going to take the kids hiking in the Greenbrier Area of the NP and use our Scavenger Hiking book. Should be fun.

Campsites are reserved.
Totally excited now. Wondering if I should take a fishing reel, brook trout is now legal, and a 3-day liscense is $9?
Flemdawg, How'd the trip go?
