Does anyone have any good information on the Pisgah Gorge?  I Googled it and came up with some picture sites but nothing with any real meat to it.  This was the best web site that I found.  Pisgah Gorge

Here's the location. The name sounds familiar, though.

I was there in July. it's a Civitan park and it doesn't take long to hike. There are two waterfalls around 100 foot each. There is no good overlook for the upper fall. You can stand on the top and look into the gorge but, short of rappelling, you can't get to the bottom and there doesn't seem to be any good view straight on. the lower fall, on the other hand, is wide open for viewing or photography. The trail isn't a beginners trail but it isn't impassible by any means.

As for getting there, if you can find Pisgah, Alabama in the north eastern corner, the Civitan park is very well marked and open to anyone. There's even a big pavilion there for picnics.

The trail is a short nature trail with a lot of interesting vegetation.

Sounds like a great place and the pics are stunning...  Don't know how we missed this one when we were in the Little River Canyon area a couple of years ago?

There are some directions in Scenic North Alabama, too.

I never bothered to head up there because I knew that the views were obstructed and there were some access issues.
