I lost another piece of equipment...

Unlike other times, this wasn't damage, but sheer incompetance. While hiking Watkins Glen (Finger Lakes Region, NY), I must have put my shutter remote release down, and I forgot it. When I returned (3 times) to the stretch where it went missing, I had no luck finding it. My assumption is that somebody picked it up before I got back, and either disposed of it, turned it in, or kept it. The park office has my number, in case it turns up, but I sincerely doubt it will. Stinks, because the thing costs $50.

The search meant that I only traveled 1/3-1/2 the distance of the gorge trail, but the place is pretty cool.

Very nice photos Joshua. Excellent!

Sorry to hear about the shutter release though. That's tough.

I really, really want to do this place sometime. Things like this just fascinate me.

It is an awesome place. There are a few places similar to it closer by, but not really on the same scale. Little Grand Canyon in Illinois has a two spots similar to Watkin's Glen, and Sipsey does as well.

The release never turned up. I had to buy a cheapo on the internet as a replacement.
