OCTOBER 18, SATURDAY, 9:00 a.m.

Gentler Bicycle Ride at your own pace and however far you wish to ride

Where: Chief Ladiga Trail, Piedmont, Alabama

Details: Join friendly folks for a relatively easy bicycle ride on the Chief Ladiga Trail in the Piedmont, Alabama area.  Ride on Alabama’s first extended rails-to-trails conversion route on an old railroad right of way.  The portion of this trail we’ll be riding on is smooth, 8-10 feet wide and even paved.  The trail is suitable for road bikes plus mountain, hybrid and urban bicycles.  Ride through towns, fields and picturesque woodlands.  No motorized vehicles are allowed on your trail!   Bicycle helmets are required and must be worn.  Please bring a picnic lunch and drink.

At the suggestion of Acyenith Alexander we have added a less arduous bicycle ride to our Chief Ladiga Trail outings series.  You may ride at your own pace and for as long or as short a distance as you wish.  Ride leader to be selected

There will be an optional dinner after the ride.  See 10/18 dayhike announcement for additional details.

Depart 9:00 a.m. from in front of the Kmart Eastwood or meet 10:45 a.m. at the Piedmont Civic Center.

Info: Dan Frederick, 631-4680
