We will meet at pavilion one, unless it is taken in which case we will move to another location. I will
leave word at the gate house where we moved to.
I will bring an extra bike for a one miler if needed. Tools will be on hand if your bike needs a little tweak.
There will be tea, soda, and water available but bring your own beer. We will have a chili cook-off also.
It doesn't have to be cooked there. I'm cooking mine ahead of time and bringing it in a crock-pot. I will
have chili with meat and also no meat for the vegans. Plugs provided for crocks and hot plates. Cook
up your own or open a few cans of your favorite and bring it. A prize will be awarded for best taste.
Chili contest rules are: 1) Must be suitable for human consumption. 2) Judge's decisions are final.
Larry Pierson wont be there so there should be enough for everyone.
The ride itself will leave from the pavilion and proceed to the north trailhead. Those riding the whole
thing will go in first. The one milers will ride in last accompanied by experienced volunteers for one
half mile [there will be a one half mile sign] turn around and ride back out. It's ok to get off and push
your bike any time you want. We want you to have a good time. If you decide to go farther let a
volunteer know. As you can tell the ride is actually farther than one mile. The one mile is on the
trail and there will be some road riding to the trailhead. The whole ride will probably be about 4 miles
depending on where we leave out from.
All miles count for VeloCup points X 3. 4 miles = 12 points etc., up to 30 miles for 90 points. I have
not ridden the trail in a couple of weeks but I don know we have a tree down in at least one location.
Not on the one mile area. I will pre-ride the north trail head area for the half mile and make sure it is
clear.
Our Club President has said that he will ride at least the one mile is we can get at least 30 to show
up to ride. Come on now, we can't let him stay behind with the chili while we're off riding so dust off
those MTB bikes and lets get on the trail. The weather should be perfect for a fantastic day of fun!
