Just wondered if anyone was up for a trip on Thanksgiving Weekend. I was wanting to a section on the Pinhoti (had Southern most section in mind), but I dont want to have to park at a trail head, hike in then hike back to that spot.  Would rather go with someone who can park at one trailhead, and I at the other. Cover more miles.

Are you talking about a long hike or a day hike?

I'm afraid my backpacking days are pretty much over. I've had way too much fun in my 55 years of life (not that I regret any of it  Smiley )

Nothing that intense for us. We have a cabin in Mentone picked out and we're spending the holiday there with all the inlaws. Some will hike until our legs fall off, others will listen to stories of the hikes and make cookies. It will be a great trip.

That sounds like a trip my wife would like. She is insisting I be with her all day on Thanksgiving, not leave that evening for the trip.

Heh, I'd love it as long as I survived. The rest would be a bummer....

Have a good trip!
