But don't let you hiking buddy carry the water. Seems like a good idea until you realize you're with a camel instead of a human. And always have a method of purification with you.

how about we go out and catch a cooler death this week?  Supposed to get down to 18 degrees in Montgomery. Will it be cold enough for my bladder freezes on the Pinhoti ?  Cool

In the drinkng tube, yes.  20 degrees or below you will find liquid in the tube (not the bladder itself) will freeze very quickly.  I've heard some great things about the tube insulators.....o r just use nalgenes.

i thought you could just blow air back in after every sip to keep the tube open?

I was not serious about the hiking since I have some farm duties this Sat.
