Hi y'all, I am going to begin a Pinhoti thru-hike on the 27th of November. I am aware of the current drought and I am planning my water supplies very carefully. Nothing would be more helpful, however, than first hand knowledge of the current conditions. Hopefully this will not overwhelm you but if you could answer even a few of these it would be very helpful. Dying of dehydration would make for a disappointing experience

1. Is Scott Lake still full of water and is it possible to set up camp nearby? (Small 1-man tent, not much space needed)
2. Is there currently any water near Patterson Gap or any on the way if I was heading from Scott Lake? If not, where exactly is Clairmont Gap in relation to the road so that I could drop off a water cache there?
3. Is Morgan Lake full? Any other water sources in between Cheaha and the USFS 518 Trailhead?
4. Is the Choccolocco Creek Watershed still full?
5. Is the Terripin Creek Watershed still full?
6. Are there any water sources in between Oakey Mountain Shelter and Davis Mountain Shelter? Does the Lanie Creek have any water in it?
Thank you very much for any help you can offer. This is just the AL portion of the hike, but if you are familiar with any of the GA section that info would be helpful too.
Safe journeys -Jake
