My friend's son Sam and a couple he met on the internet are missing after a planned Monday end to a camping trip in the Talladega National Forest. Sam is a brilliant but not so streetwise guy, nearly 30 and tall, good-looking--I dont' know anything about the other couple but they were driving a small white car.  The forest authorities know they are missing. He was supposed to have an important job interview today or tomorrow, so his parents doubt that he would blow it off.  They were "trying to practice survival and get themselves lost".  Please help if you can!

I assume you have already contacted the rangers offices. Can you you give us anything else to go on? A better description of any of them? What type of car? What county and state were the plates? Where on the internet did they meet? Did this couple have names?
I'm not trying to be a pain here Shelly but I have met like 3 or 4 people named Sam IN the Talladega NF.

So they're good? That's a relief.

Even if you practice the "lets get lost and survive" it still helps to give two people a plan on where you're going (area), with who, and when you'll be back.

It really helps if something is to come up.
