I just saw this thread and thought I would chime in.
I run
http://www.comehike.com which has a few ways that it can help in promotion:
1) Simplest is to post your hikes there and I will help promote the hikes and this site.
2) After you post your hikes, the site gives you tools like this example:
http://www.comehike.com/o...;height=700&width=500 - so you can show off your hikes in pictures
3) Whenever you make a group, and post hikes from the group, you can link back to this site.
4) I also run a google group for outdoor webmasters where we help each other out. You are welcome to join if you like.
