I am looking for some quick and easy recipes to cook out in the field.  Something lightweight and small as so I can fit it in my pack.

the quickest and easiest doesn't require a recipe. I have a copy of Freezer Bag Cooking, but if I don't remember anything without looking it up, so it must not be THAT easy.

I get by on boiling water for ramen noodles, then everything else no fuss like tuna in foil, powdered milk, trail bars, trail mix, P & J mix & whatever bread is on hand for the first 2 days or so.

enjoy -  wish I was a bit closer to Bankhead myself,
