Hi, this is my first post - Love the website, can't wait to catch up on all the posts.

I'm going on an overnighter (maybe two) on Feb 20 (Friday).
My co-worker and backpacking buddy, had to cancel so I'm going to go solo.
I'd rather go with a 'buddy' for safety reasons even though I'll be staying on the main trails which
I know to be well traveled.
If anyone is interested in 'buddying up', let me know.

I'll probably park at Borden and go 200 to 209 to Falls Crk Falls (or a little beyond).
Want to go easy to break in my gear (and my legs) since I haven't been out for about 12mo or so.

As I'm writing though, and looking at the map, I'm real tempted to go two nights and take
209 to 204 then 224 back to the car.

My aim is to setup camp early, relax, go thru my gear, read and just enjoy the quiet.

Take care

I want to hit the trail no later than 1pm Fri. (cause I'm slow and haven't been out in a while). That said, I'm probably only good for 1 night anyway. I'm not quite where I need to be physically. I just went 1.5mi around Rainbow Mtn. with my pack (25lbs). It took me longer than I like (1hr20min) but I stopped, sat, and have lunch (-15min) - I was disappointed.

That's not so bad. Just because some of use are faster. I like a slow hike sometimes you get to see more. I am a little anal. I like to get to camp and get set up. It is my down fall sometimes. I do like getting to explore once I get there, but I sometimes get so fast I miss the journey, and isn't that the destination after all. I just forget sometimes.

Sorry, no way I can make 1.

The weather is looking a little too cold for my blood this weekend, so I'll probably cancel.
