First post here so thanks for having me folks. Let me start by saying I have not hiked the last several years like I used to. Lets just say I had to get back to doing what made my soul sing. Hiking would be it for sure. Anyway, I just did a solo dayhike on Sunday to Chinnabee and back to Turnipseed and man what a day it was. Cheaha Falls and Devil's Den were looking good as would be expected this time of year. I hope to become more and more active in the hiking community and this board looks like the place to do it. If anybody would like to see the photos I took of my trip please feel free to click my facebook link and check em out. After the trip to Chinnabee and back I had to go up to Cheaha to get a gander at some of the overlooks. Well thanks for the forum to post these ramblings and I hope you enjoy my pics. Looking forward to talking to you folks in the future.

That's a great day hike. If your just getting back into things, it's also a great hike to start out later in the afternoon, make an early camp along the way and finish up the next morning. Nice scenery and easy hiking! It's one of my favorite routes.

Old Hickory I love that hike as well. It is a great way to break my way back into hiking. I am doing more and more these days and I love it. Thanks to all of you for the welcome.
