So they have quit making the Pur Guide but still make the filters. Anybody know where I can get one locally (B'ham) or will I have to order it on line?

I have one that has sat up in storage for quite a few years it still works but I don't trust the filter after sitting up as long as it has. Any help would be appreciated.

Alabama Outdoors - Homewood has the filter cartridges.  (The filter is also on sale!)

well I missed you because like you said the guy that checked me out didn't know you by Cuffs. He did say it might be Wendy but wasn't sure. Actually I think you directed me to the filters though. I was in there on Thursday and bought it around 3:00.

That 'fella' knew it was me... hes just not a fan of mine, so he refuses to even acknowledge me or my customers for the most part.  I do hope you got what you needed tho!

Yes I did get what I needed for sure. Got my Guide filter and I bought a small MSR fuel bottle for the whisperlite. I have completely spaced the old one so had to buy a new one. Thanks and next time I am in AO I will look for the "chick".
