Anyone coming out? I know I am. So far it's going to be warm and clear on Sat and slight chance on sprinkles on Sunday.

I think we are going to start at the Randolph TH and hike the 202 to 209 and then make camp and finish sunday going up 209 and come out on 201. The water should be back down by then.  Grin

I am planning to head out March 18-22. Kids are off for spring break that week, and hopefully everyone's schedule will work out for a nice 5 day / 4 night trip

I'm not sure the location but my best friend's dad used to have a small place on Logan Martin Lake in Lincoln. We used to catfish a lot there but we were afraid to eat them... I think I would still be afraid to eat any fish out of there. The catfish out of Lake Guntersville is great tho!

Does anyone hang their food in Sipsey or had any problems with critters getting into your food?

keep in mind i have not been there yet so i only know a general area, but exploring for it is a big part of the fun.  The attached map will show our general direction. Also as a side note you will also pass Feather Hawk Falls which is a taller than White creek falls.

Sounds like more fun. I will be going to Chattanooga next weekend for a conference I plan to camp somewhere Sat night before coming home Sun. For some reason no one else on the trip seems to think this is a good idea.

The Cohutta Wilderness area is close to Chatanooga. It's actually right outside of Dalton, GA. I love that area up there around the Jack's and Conasauga rivers. Plenty of good hikes up in those woods.

We would love to have people join us so long as you don't mind a couple of slow pokes  Wink  It takes us about 2 hours to get to the trail head.
