This section is about 3 miles long.  Trail Crewzers from AHTS cleaned up this section in November during a 10 day trail maintenance party.

All blowdowns have been cleared.  All new blue blazes. 

The trailhead  parking at Adams Gap looks to be ready soon. (it is still closed due to highway widening of 77)

The parking area was graded by the large machines of the paving crew while we were there.

A large portion of the trail from Talladega Creek to the second crossing of FS 600 was also worked on... cleared, re-blazed.

The new standard for blazing is the vertical rectangle in light blue.  There are still remnants of old white blazes, the turkey track blaze, metal and plastic diamonds w/ tracks, so look for everything!
