What is your total pack weight, including food and at least one liter of water at the start of a 3 day hike? (As example, a 3 day hike is arriving at the trailhead Friday morning, hiking Friday and Saturday, and hiking back to the trailhead late Sunday.  You will need 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 2 dinners and snacks.)

Depending on water sources, my pack weight will be about 26# for 3 days with 2 liters of water.

Ive gone 7 days of food and 2 liters of water and weighed in at only 33#!

For the three full days plus water, my pack will generally be 25-30#. Most of that will be food and water(2L). It's gotten more of a common practice for me to include usually one-two snacks and one full meal extra as a "just in case" scenario. Never hurts to be preapared.

I have done upwards of 35# when going for 5-7 days and personally, that's heavy. The lighter the better.
