Went to the doctor yesterday and he cleared me to go to work on Monday!!!  He also cleared me to walk on flat short trails.  I just got back from the Hayes Nature Preserve.  Not much of a hike but it is progress.  He told me no hills for 2 weeks and no pack for another 6 weeks but I can live with that!!!

Great News!  Take it one step at a time... one day at a time.  You'll be back on the trail before you know it.

Late replying to this, but....you should check out the dancy bottom trail in wheeler wildlife refuge.  little longer walk, and no hills.  It's quiet, and the forest was pretty when I went, but it was also autumn.
