Hi all,

On one of my Carto-Craft maps, it shows a public use area just below the confluence of Caney Creek and the Sipsey.  Going north from Double Springs on 33, it looks like you would take a left on Co Rd. 2 (as if going to the Caney trailhead), then take a right on another road that takes you down to the river.

Anyone ever been there?  I've got a hankering to get in some cool water!

Any other swimming holes that you'd like to share?  Or great wading spots?  I've often thought of parking at Hubbard Creek and just taking off down the creek!   Grin

A few minutes ago every tree was excited, bowing to the roaring storm, waving, swirling, tossing their branches in glorious enthusiasm like worship. But though to the outer ear these trees are now silent, their songs never cease.  --  John Muir

That seems to be around the location of the old low pressure bridge over Sipsey... sometimes used as a canoe put-in.

Probably the most popular swimming hole is the Blue Hole just upstream of Thompson TH.. it's very nice.
