Must carry lenses

So in 2 weeks I'll be spending 4 night's in Washington State (Near North Cascades NP). I'm defiantly taking my DSLR because half the experience to me is taking great photos! BUT I've got a bit of a gear issue. I can't carry ALL my camera gear because it's just too heavy, but wanted to get your recommendations on what YOU would carry for sure.
Here's what I've got - My camera is a Canon XTi
- Canon 18-55 3.5-5.6 (kit lens)
- Canon 28-135 3.5-5.6 IS
- Canon 55-250 4-5.6 IS
- Canon 50mm 1.8
- Canon Speedlight 430EXII
Right now I'm thinking the 28-135(thought heavy) and the 50mm for evening shots...almost guaranteed to see wildlife and lots of flowers so.....
I have a Lowepro bag that will attach to my chest harness, allowing me to get to the camera without removing the backpack. I've used this setup before and it's worked nicely.
I will also have a point and shoot for quick shots...interest
ed in your thoughts!

I think you have it right. The 28-135 will do almost everything you need. If you want to take two, the 50/1.8 is a good choice. Good luck!

Never, ever, ever take one lens anywhere would be my first recommendation. My second recommendation would be to carry a backup lens in each of your most used focal length ranges if the trip is really important.
My third recommendation would be to take the 18-55 and the 55-250. You've got nothing wide-ish if you leave the 18-55 home, and the mountains are no place to be without a wider lens. Plus, you'll need the reach of the 55-250 if you do see any wildlife. I mean, the kit lens isn't terrific, even the newer one, but it is better than being in the Cascades with nothing wider than 28mm on a 1.6x crop camera. Just my two cents.
