This is a couple of years old but very interesting. This momma bear had 5 cubs and some guy named Tom Sears was lucky enough to photograph them.  He said it took 6 weeks spending 4 hours a day to catch them just right.  He went back a year later to see if they all survived and luckily was able to get another picture of the group.

"It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it while you can, while it is still there. So go out there and hunt and fish and mess around.  Ramble out yonder, explore the forests, encounter the grizz, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air. Sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, that lovely, mysterious and awesome space.  I promise you this one sweet victory, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by calculators. : you will outlive the bastards." That's SOOOOO cool UW, thanks for posting.

What do you think the odds are that all of them would have survived that first year?
