Found a great tool for the teeth, its called the Colgate Wisp, its a little brush with tooth paste on it. Have not tried it yet, but its really light and perfect for backpacking. Let you know the weight soon.

Good idea they have but...

At $.50 each ($8 for 16), I'll buy the 3 pack at the Dollar Store and just cut off the handles.  I think the Dollar store ones will last longer and not end up in the land fill quite so soon.

I told my girlfriend the same thing. I carry a foldup toothbrush and travel size toothpaste. If you really want to get crazy about the weight there is a toothpaste powder that is dehydrated paste. Personally, I'll carry the extra grams of H2O in the paste. Smiley

get a brush that can do triple duty. Same for the toothpaste, use Dr. Bronner's soap.

Like brush teeth, scrub a pot, and brush your and your dog's hair.   That being said, I'm not a gram counter , YET. I use a short, but full toothbrush handle, still. If I don't forget it of course. And if the toothpaste is flavored, it has a few calories, so better not waste it- swallow after brushing.  ;-)

If my travel size toothpaste is half empty, I'll just squeeze it full again from a bigger tube I'm using if it's gonna be a long section hike.

Might not want to be swallowing too much toothpaste...  if you read the label, it says DO NOT swallow it, and to contact the POISON CONTROL center if you do!!   Shocked Shocked Shocked

I've been swallowing toothpaste all my life, at least the last 34 years.  Allows me to brush my teeth on the go, whether I'm hunting, hiking, camping or at home.

I just carry a little toothbrush and a small tube of toothpaste.

Brushing your teeth is a very important part of health and often overlooked.  (No I'm not a dentist.)
