Consider me impressed! After taking a few years off from backpacking I chose Sipsey as my entrance back into bush life and I now have a new favorite destination. I hiked most of trail 209 from the Sipsey Rec area and camped friday night. I met alot of really interesting people along the way including fellow poster Dave. I'm definitely going back again and again to see all the sites! The trail was a little more arduous than I expected, I definitely need to rebuild my pack with some new gear for next time. Can't wait to hit it again!

Just wait! The addiction will only grow. Wink Sipsey is just one of those places that calls to you.

Trail 209 was a muddy mess this weekend due to all the recent rain, imo. I saw flood debris up on the trail, so the Sipsey was roaring sometime last week, I assume. We had a few comical falls in one spot about mid-way between the rec area and the Sipsey's confluence with Borden Creek. One was almost a stereotypical banana-peel cartoon fall!

lol, I slipped several times myself. That's why I came back a bit early, twisted my ankle and didn't want to stay out another night like that. It was a sad drive home!

Great pics bro! You were right about 209 being thick around the 204 junction! There were patches like that all over the valley. I enjoyed the chat while hiking. It was cool meeting you.
