My 10-yr-old son and I wanted to do a trip this weekend at Sipsey.  Any suggestions for a good loop / weekend trip for first-timers at Sipsey.  Sorry if I may have posted to the wrong forum area.

Thanks!

Start at the Thompson trailhead, take the white oak hollow route to bunyan hill, maybe sneak a look at clifty creek falls, camp above east bee [and explore the area around the big tree some, then take 209 back toward thompson, stopping at eye of the needle for the second night, and catch Auburn Falls on your way out the third day.

I've never done the white oak route, but pully or mcdowra around here could certainly give you some tips on it.

When you say white oak hollow, are you saying to just follow the watershed up to Bunyan hill or is there an actual trail there?
