Took a quick trip up to Cheaha State Park for a couple of hours to check out Pulpit Rock then headed down to the Chinnabee Silent Trail. Ugh, this weather, will it ever get cooler? Saturday was very humid and it was raining here and there, ended up getting soaked from sweat under my rain gear. It was a good trip though. Sunday was gorgeous and a bit cooler. The leaves are beginning to change, a couple more weeks and they should be really Beautiful!

One thing about this trail, there seemed to be an unusual amount of garbage on it. I crushed six beer cans and packed them out along with a pocketful of cigarette butts. What an aggravation, some people have no respect.

Pics of the trip are here!

Nice pictures, I hate to see trash on the trail as well, wish people would think before they littered.

Very nice pics!! I'm going to have to check that place out sometime soon. I agree with JC785 on the garbage... its such a shame people have no considerations for others.

The trial from Turnipseed TH to Cheaha Falls & from Chinabee to Devils Den gets alot of traffic. Most of the traffic is not your average (for the lack of a better word) outdoorsman. We were there a couple of weeks ago and picked up trash along the trail. Lots of coolers get carried up to the falls. even saw a diaper full of $#*!. What are some people thinking? I was taught as I grew up to always leave a place better than I found it. Carl W.

I know what you mean. It's ironic that this is a trail built by Scouts, as a product of a Boy Scout upbringing it really burns me up. I know Troop 29 expected a little more respect for all their hard work.
