So, I get to go on mid-deployment leave in January. The military pays for my plane ticket to anywhere while going on leave while deployed. So I am gonna spend a couple weeks in Queenstown, New Zealand and hike the trails of the Southern Alps. I am excited. I think it's going to be a pretty awesome expierence. The scenery is beautiful down there and it will be a nice break from the desert.

Thanks for sharing the pics Chris. I tell you what, if I went down there I don't think I would come home. New Zealand seems like an outdoors man's dream. After all the location shoots from Lord of the Rings to the videos of fly fisherman on youtube fishing there it is definitely the kind of place I could make a life in.

I'm with you on that one, SmokeDiver.  New Zealand is certainly on my Life List!   Smiley

Ok. Chris. Now I'm jealous.  I want to see New Zealand. But anywhere away from the desert is a good thing. They only let me go to South America.  Grin  Darn the luck! Argentina, Panama, Brazil.
