I do believe I'll be getting a Garmin Colorado 400t since it's all I asked for. DavidR has one of these, he let me play with it in Sipsey one weekend and I'm sold.

1) I've been spectacular this year, so has Matt, and his list may not be as long but it's as $$$. Alas my budget won't allow for complete want list grantage, but I learned early in life that the more you ask for the more likely you'll get something you want.

2) Yay for twins! Babies can totally go hiking and camping. Trust me, I remember one of my first 'lesley dressed herself' items were my boops (boots) for family day hikes. I could barely speak, and I couldn't tie laces, but I'd still clomp around in my itty bitty timberlands. This led to a great trend where in the first thing I asked for once I hit teenage girl hood was a "real" (read, not from the kids department) pair of boots and a tube of lip gloss. I also taught my kid brother how to use a pocket knife and build campfires as soon as possible. This may or may not have led to him trying to peel a carrot with a paring knife with disastrous consequences.

Twins should give you two good hiking partners!  I started my kids out hiking, camping, etc when they were pretty young.  I took my son on his first overnight backpacker when he was seven!  They are all in their 20's now, but still enjoy the outdoors.
