sleeping bag help
«
on:

Been looking at getting a good lighter weight sleeping bag. I have been used to car camping and the heavier bags in a tent. I would like opinions on a good bag for hiking and cooler weather. Would possibly be in a hammock too, as I know this will make a difference.
Looking for suggestions, and why you chose it.
Thanks!

How much are you willing to spend? This would dictate where your money is better spent...

Josh and I got our (long) Sierra Designs Arrow Rock down bags on sale for $135ish I think. We are both a little over 6ft and I have plenty of room. I had a synthetic TNF Aleutian 20* bag and it was OK for the $, but I am much happier with the Arrow Rock.
I use a Speer SleepPad in my hammock and it works great for me. It only has a R-Value = 1, but I took it down to about 30* one weekend and I was toasty except for my toes.
