From Alabama Small Boats newsletter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all,

Alabama Small Boats has moved from the 280 location back to the original location in Helena. Our hours there are Tuesday thru Saturday 10 am until 6 pm. We are closed Sunday and Monday. Our new phone number is 428-5788. Try before you buy is still our motto. Please come visit us at our new (old) location.

Alabama Small Boats will be hosting a slalom race clinic on January 30 at the Helena location. Mike Hurd will be the instructor. For those who don't know him, he coached at the Atlanta Center of Excellence for many years. If you ever saw the ACE junior kids race here in the 90's, you've probably seen him. His son, Eric (Butter) Hurd is currently on the US team. I'll be posting more details about the clinic in a few days.

Thanks.
Allen

Yep ,I imagine the volume you would have to push through to afford the rent over that way has got to be insane.

they were only renting a small space from that other outdoor retailer, they didnt have their own full store...  regardless, im sure the rent is cheaper when you have your own property...

Do they ever do trips in Sipsey? I've been wanting to do Brushy Creek for a few years now, but I can't deal with the logistic of a canoe in an apartment.
