anyone have or used any of the smaller gregory z-line of packs.like the z-22,30 or 35.just wondering if they are comfey Undecided

While I dont own one of the packs you listed, I can say that I have tried them on and worn them for extended times.  (I wear them around the store while working to check them out... yea, weird, I know)  They are really just down-sized versions of the larger Z-series (50,55,60, 65) and have the same features with the lumbar and shoulder padding.  I find them quite comfortable.  (And they are on sale!!   Grin)

For a daypack, Id suggest the Z22.

i had heard that they were comfey but have not had the chance to try one on.size wise the 22 did look like the way to go.as far as wearing them around the store(lucky you)thats not weird thats smart!!!

I have the Z55 and it is very comfortable, and the way the padding is it is not hot on your back.
