Funny I never thought of them as a hiking place. I guess since they are primarily a rafting outfitter. Nothing about Soruck on their Homepage though.

They are a great hiking center... considering the AT runs right thru the middle of their complex.  The SoRuck is not sponsored by NOC, its just held there, so you wont find it on their page...  http://soruck.net/

You missed the joke. 1 AM, as in 1 in the morning, that's what the website said.

oops.

Man I hope that typo doesn't scare people off.

So here's the deal guys we're going to walk out into the woods for 7.9 miles then we're going to sit there till 10 PM after having not eaten all day and see who makes it back by 1am. No flashlights allowed. Who's game?
Now that would be an adventure.

Id be game, as would most of the people who are real hikers... its no biggie.  And we would have eaten, because when we hike, we go prepared.. food and all.... and night hiking is a blast, especially with a 1/2 moon or more.

Sounds like a blast. maybe we should start setting up some challenging hikes for the hard core people like Cuffs here.

As for SoRuck. Maybe next year. Perhaps we could get together a group and go. I'll put it in the calendar for next year when they announce the new stuff.
