Just a heads up for you hiking the Pinhoti, the speed limit on I-20 has been reduced to 55 mph, and is being strictly enforced.  There was a death recently caused by a pothole, and the speed limit was brought down:

I just passed thru there literally an hour ago today on my way to ATL and saw this.  Troopers EVERYWHERE!  While the road isnt great, Ive never really noticed potholes worthy of causing major accidents.  I travel this section of highway twice a month and have yet to see this kind of road hazard...
