I am planning an overnight on the Pinhoti from FS500 going north toward Oakey Mountain.  Any words of advise (water supply, trail condtion) from anyone who's done that section recently?

I'll be back on posting picks and updates after the trip.

If your starting from south fs500, water isn't a problem. I found that seasonal water is easily found on Dugger, well the ascent and decent, there is no water on top. If your starting from north fs500, there isn't much water for about 6 to 8 miles or so. There is water within a quarter mile of each shelter. I started my hike each day with about 2 liters of water and never had a problem.

Luke, Thanks for the input.  I've done Dugger from the south before and am trying to piece the Pinhoti in it entirety.  I assume the Terrapin Watershed lake is filterable and may provide a bit of fishing?
