Does anyone know the history on Jones Branch Road? Where it went to, was it a forest service road, when it was built, was it abandoned before it became a wilderness area? I know its in the wilderness area now but seems like a lot of hard work went into it at one time as far as leveling and the concrete work.

hello i grew up just up the road from there and have been all over those woods hunting there use to indians that live up there there is a cave alittle ways up the road there we used to camp there alot before they made it a wilderness area but any ways they logged back up in there and poured the concrete so the log trucks could get in and out before pink died he knew where the indians live at back in there he was full stories i cant believe those kids burned down his cabin hope that answered your question about the concrete
