This is not exactly a hiking event, but I would say it is "hiking related," particularly if any of you ever get lost  Grin

My canine search & rescue team (North Alabama Search Dog Assoc.) will be having a seminar the last week of February, Thursday Feb. 28 through Saturday March 1.  There will be approximately 50 dog handlers and their dogs and instructors coming in from across the US for this seminar.  We will be having it at Camp Anderel (Girl Scout camp) in Rogersville, Alabama. This is between Athens and Joe Wheeler State park, just off Hwy 72.

We need "subjects" for all 3 days to "get lost" for our teams so that the dogs can work and train.  If you are interested in doing this for one, two or all three days, please email me and I can give you some additional information.   It's not hard work.  There won't be alot of hiking involved.  More sitting actually.   The weather will be ??  But, unless the weather is severe (lightning, etc) we will work.  The pay is great - you get lunch and dinner if you want to stick around after the day's activities.

My team's website is: North Alabama Search Dog Association, if you would like to go and see what it is that we do and learn a little more about us.

Thanks!
Terri

Dang...  Why do all the fun things have to be so far away from me !

Bring those dogs to Pinhoti next month and find me....

Probably shouldn's say that, now I'll get myself lost for sure !   LOL
