.....need help finding best place/prices.

I need:

-Katadyn Hiker replacement filter (of whole kit if one is on sale)
-Little fuel containers for alcohol stoves (what do you recommend)
-Lightweight blanket (for the hammock in warm temps)

I think that is it. Everything else is hammock related and I only use Warbonnet !

I dunno about the Katadyn replacements.  I likely need one myself.

For the Alcohol fuel, I went to the ABC store and got the smallest plastic flask of whiskey I could find (8oz) and drank the contents, BAM!  Instant fuel cannister.  And since it's flask shaped it packs so easily and takes up nearly no room.

For summer and warm weather use, I just use the little fleece sleeping bags from Wally world.  Works just fine.  Me and my girlfriend both use Hennessys.  I have a couple of DIY hammocks, and have 3 blackbird clones waiting on zippers now.

Next project, Under Quilt.

Any disposable plastic bottle will be fine for your alcohol. We use the 6 oz bottles from water they give you on airplanes. I suggest screw tops for security purposes. Also mark your fuel bottles so that your blind friends know its fuel. Like with flashing EL wire and battery driven siren.

I highly recommend the Thermarest Tech Blankets for warm weather.

Yeah, I shoulda mentioned that.  I use a few wraps of Duct tape, plus I used a Sharpie to write FUEL on the bottle.

One little tip. If you use a sharpie the alcohol will remove the writing.  You can solve the issue by using clear fingernail polish over the writing.

Great idea. Thanks !

I will look into this one. It doesnt seem too heavy and decent price.

I will be sure to label it. Thanks again !!!
