My wife, daughter and I took a hike to the Sipsey Rapids from the trailhead at Thompson creek.  Temperatures were very nice, bugs were kept at bay with a good breeze blowing and the trail was almost empty, only saw 3 other people going in but met two other parties as we were hiking out. Water Levels at an almost all time low.

"It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it while you can, while it is still there. So go out there and hunt and fish and mess around.  Ramble out yonder, explore the forests, encounter the grizz, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air. Sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, that lovely, mysterious and awesome space.  I promise you this one sweet victory, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by calculators. : you will outlive the bastards." I thought something was missing from those photos. Wink

Weather is gorgeous up here today, never made it over 80. Me and the dog got a few miles in at the local park, but saw nothing of interest. First time I've been to that park and not found something new to me.

Only a few more weeks and the weather should be great! Not much expectation for good fall colors this year, but just being below 90 is all I'm really asking for this year.
