My son in law hiked Adams to HWY 281 (I'm proud of him because this was the last leg of him doing all the Pinhoti) today, 9-4-2010.  He saw some dampness at the two creeks south of the crossing, but not enough to rely on for water.  He did NOT find any water at the Pinhoti/Chinnabee Silent/Odum crossing.
He saw about a dozen hikers on the trail.   Plan accordingly.

Thanks for passing on the info.  I am surprised to hear it considering the rain we have had here, but it may not have hit Talladega Mt.  A man I ran into at Mountain High Outfitters said that one or 2 of the seasonals between Adams Gap and the Stairway to Heaven still had some water in pools.

I wonder how the valley streams, Hubbard, Chinnabee, and the creek between Adams Gap and Hubbard, are flowing on the Skyway and Chinnabee.
