Was wondering how many other female hikers there are in the forums? So if you are a lady give a shout and let us know you are out there!!  It would be fun to put together some ladies hikes.......

Question to ask while I have you hear.

How do you feel about hiking alone?

Hey Bellaleo,  I'm answering your roll call for female hikers. My husband and I have been hiking for a couple of years.  We absolutely love being out on the trail.

Hi. Hiking alone depends on where you go I guess...
Sometimes there is nothing better than going out and it just being you and the trail.

We used to have two ladies among our most frequent posters. Both have been silent for over a year it seems -  Cuffs and Leslie - Cuffs may be out hiking Mongolia or Iraq ?? No clue about Leslie, but there are others here that surely know.

My girlfriend is a hiker, but doesn't use the internet any.  There are others around, but just lurk more than anything.

I am a female hiker and would like to find some females that would like to hike during the week. This could be day hiking or backpacking for a few days. I am retired so weekdays would work better for me.

I just returned from a two week backpacking trip in Virginia where I was alone most of the time.  This was a first for me and I found I enjoy hiking alone but I don't like to be alone at night. I was a little scared at first but I was mostly bored.
