Just picked up my new kayak today!! I have been wanting one, and got to good of a deal to pass it up. The wife even said I better jump on it! Anyone have any good overnight trips they have been on? I am looking to go on some overnight trips on her. Thanks for any input!

OK, 1st things 1st.
1) What is your experience
2) What boat and type of boat did you get
3) What type water are you planning on paddling
4) What time of year do you plan to paddle

Brushy creek in the Sipsey Wilderness, I have never done this trip before but sounds like fun.

A great resource is
http://www.alabamawhitewater.com
. Go to;
Run Index, for info on nearly every waterway in north Alabama.
Flow Page, for current water levels
We went down the Sipsey several years ago. Make sure the water level is enough. It is a great trip with beautiful scenery and good places to camp. The Upper Tallapoosa has some nice easy trips for over nighters.

Flint River near Huntsville has some pretty good runs with camping spots and plenty of overnight potential. We do that one about once a month during warm weather.
