Mayor Jabo Reese of West Blocton and the Cahaba River Society are proposing a new park in the area of the Cahaba Wildlife Refuge outside of West Blocton. I cannot determine if this is the Cahaba River NWR, or the Nature Conservancy refuge down the road from that. I think the ovens are by the Nature Conservancy property.

As a nature lover and semi-historian, I like the idea of a new park, but I'm wary of the line about tons of motor homes.
