Chinnebee/odem trail closure

Hey guys, I just got back from Cheah------there are signs everywhere letting people know that the Chinnabee and Odem trails are closed due to wild fires. I spent the night at Mcdill point---from the overlook/cliff, you could see a fire in the distance-big plumes of smoke on the horizon. Also, there were several helicopters buzzing around the area. It looked to me like the fire was quite a ways off . That being said, Ive never seen prettier weather or scenery-----its stunning! (one of the best trips Ive ever had!)

My girlfriend and me are planning a november 12-14 weekend Pinhoti/Chinnabee/Skyway loop. Will everything be a go by then as far as controlled burns? Im just keeping my fingers crossed for some rain that week. Thanks

I was planning to do the 17 mile loop from Adams Gap to Chinnabee to Skyline this weekend. Is the trail closed or open?
