Has anyone on the forum ever been to the entrance of Evans Cave in Franklin County, Alabama?  I know the cave is on property belonging to a hunting club.  I have talked to locals who have been to the cave years ago.  They said the last time they went looking for the cave, they couldn't find it.  They thought perhaps it had been bulldozed over.  Any info about this cave?

I was told the same thing by a friend who lived in the area.  But I've never been there.

Uncle Wayne, do you mean that your friend said they bulldozed over the entrance?

Yes, he said you couldn't even see it anymore.  But he called it by a different (local) name but thought it was officially called Evans cave.

Sad situation to lose the cave, imo.
