Kinlock Falls to Big Tree

I'm just getting around to this hike (
http://www.alatrails.com/...dex.php/topic,2076.0.html
). I've been wating to document this area as well as Big Tree for a while. I didn't have GPS the first few times I visited Big Tree. I'm thinking of hiking in from Kinlock Falls, hiking the Bee Branch loop, then exiting via Thomson Trailhead. My Cart O Craft shows 2 falls on Bee Branch. I hope to go in the next month and will be looking for cave vents. Any other pois? Thanks for all the posts everyone.

there's a cave behind one of the falls on the north side of hubbard about midway between kinlock falls and the "side creek" before the junction with Parker. I don't know how far it goes back. There's a turkey foot glyph on the side creek on the east side of the creek up close to the bluff . there's a "glyph" of some kind up parker about 50yds i guess from the junction.
I camped on Hubbard this past December, and it's a demanding hike on the north side of the creek, just as I remember it from '09. The south side is much easier.

I can't be much help on the location but here's a couple of items of interest along the south side of Hubbard. We parked at the "trailhead" most use now to get to Parker Falls, just before you start down the hill and the pavement ends above Kinlock Falls. My journals says we left the car at 7:45 a.m. and dropped off into the ravine on the left and worked our way down to Hubbard. A little tricky but it can be done.
The time stamp on the first photos indicates it took us about an hour to get to the arborgylph and about 10 more minutes to reach the still.
I don't remember wasting a lot of time but my rememberer is not near as good as it once was. That a tough but enjoyable hike and this is the time of year to do it. I've seen some big rattlesnakes along that route in the summer.

Ramble out yonder, explore the forests, encounter the grizz, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air. Sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, that lovely, mysterious and awesome space. I promise you this one sweet victory, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by calculators. : you will outlive the bastards." Ed Abbey

Ah, I was searching too far down for the still, and had given up by that point. I came out the same drainage you went in on. Completely missed the hand as well. Leaves me something to go back for, at least.
