Read the article in the Times Daily explaining how TVA is proposing the development of a large tract of property at the TVA Muscle Shoals Reservation. If you have ever hiked the trails at the Reservation you know something about the value this property has with much significant historical and natural treasure located here. Here is the link:

I agree with you Pathfinder, I don't know much about that area other than what I've read but it sounds like it should be left as is. If it turns out that they will sell it anyway maybe we could convince Forever Wild to make a bit on it.

This kind of says it all:
Rose said that should be a red flag for elected officials wanting to develop the land.
“It seems illogical that TVA is including this (commercial, retail and residential) component since their own study shows there is little to recommend it,” Rose said. “Why displace natural areas with non-productive commercial development that can easily occur in other regions?”
But if TVA wants to sell it, the money will talk.
